My Counselling Practice

I work with a wide range of concerns that bring people to therapy. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, loss, life transitions, identity questions, or simply feeling overwhelmed and unsure of your next step. Many people come to counselling after spending years carrying things alone, putting the needs of others before their own, or feeling disconnected from themselves.
My approach is warm, collaborative and tailored to your unique experience. I understand that no two people are the same, and I aim to meet you where you are, creating a space where you feel safe to explore whatever is on your mind. Therapy can be a place to make sense of difficult experiences, understand patterns that may be holding you back, reconnect with your strengths, and develop greater self-trust and confidence in yourself.
I specialise in:
-
Trauma-informed therapy – supporting people affected by childhood or adult trauma.
-
Neurodiversity – as a therapist with lived experience of neurodivergence, I understand some of the unique challenges this can bring.
-
Gender, Sex and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) – including LGBTQ+ identities, polyamory and ethical non-monogamy.
Adult and Childhood Trauma
Trauma can affect us long after the original experience has passed. You may find yourself struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing, difficulty trusting others, or feeling disconnected from yourself. Often, these responses make sense when viewed in the context of what you've been through.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I offer a safe and compassionate space where we can explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we can make sense of how the past continues to influence your life today, while building emotional resilience, self-understanding and a greater sense of safety. Healing is not about forgetting what happened. It is about finding new ways to relate to yourself, your experiences and the future.
Neurodiversity
As someone with lived experience of neurodivergence, I understand how exhausting it can be to navigate a world that isn't always designed with your needs in mind. Many neurodivergent people spend years masking, adapting themselves to fit in, or feeling misunderstood by others.
In our work together, you won't be expected to mask who you are. Instead, therapy offers a space where your experiences are understood and respected. Together, we can explore both the challenges and strengths of your unique way of experiencing the world, helping you develop greater self-understanding, self-acceptance and strategies that genuinely work for you.
LGBTQ+ Clients
I offer an affirming and inclusive space for people of all genders and sexualities. You should not have to educate your therapist about who you are or worry about being judged for your identity.
Whether you're exploring identity, navigating relationships, processing difficult experiences, or simply looking for a space where you can be fully yourself, you are welcome here. My aim is to provide a relationship built on acceptance, respect and genuine curiosity about your unique experience.
Polyamory and Ethical Non-Monogamy
Finding a therapist who understands polyamory and ethical non-monogamy can sometimes feel challenging. You may be seeking support specifically around your relationships, or you may simply want a therapist who understands this aspect of your life without making assumptions.
I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where we can explore communication, boundaries, jealousy, relationship dynamics, identity, personal growth, or any other challenges you may be facing. Together, we can focus on what matters most to you, helping you build stronger relationships with yourself and others while feeling understood and supported.
